Italian Folk Core

Guitar, bass, drums, trumpet, accordion. The name refers to an old Southern Italian tradition: if you cannot speak a story, an experience, a lie, a fear, you go into the forest and whisper it into the hole of a tree branch. From there, it is handed over to the forest spirits.

BUCO collects exactly those kinds of stories. Myths and legends from Southern Italy that never made it between book covers, that only exist in fragments, half remembered, half invented. The band gives them a new voice – and lays down a soundtrack that sometimes sounds like Calexico, sometimes like Beirut, sometimes like the Pixies, and couldn't care less about fitting into any genre.

After shows at Feierwerk, Alter Utting and Muffatwerk, and shared evenings with bands like GRag, Leonie singt and The Moonband, the next chapter awaits: the first LP on Intertune Records. Some vinyl. Finally.
